Traditional Spanish “Cuerda Seca” Ceramic Decoration Workshop

Discover the beauty of Cuerda Seca, one of Spain’s oldest and most distinctive ceramic decorating techniques. Dating back to 10th-century al-Andalus, this traditional method uses fine dark lines to separate vibrant glazes, creating bold patterns inspired by Moorish art and Spanish ceramics.

During this hands-on workshop you will:

• Learn about the fascinating history of the Cuerda Seca technique.

• Design your own traditional or contemporary pattern.

• Decorate your piece with colorful ceramic glazes.

• Create a unique ceramic tile or small decorative piece to be kiln-fired and collected later.

No previous experience is necessary—this workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike.

Wednesday, July 15th 18:30-21:00
