Introductory to advanced

Class size is small and individual attention will be given to each student with level of experience taken into account. 

In this class you will learn basic to more advanced watercolor techniques and which papers, brushes and other materials are best for certain techniques.

You can expect to learn about:

• Color wheel 

• Color Contrasts

• Color Harmony

• Abstract mark making

• Gradients

• Glazing 

• How to create atmosphere/ perspective

• Color and Transparencies

• Color and Atmosphere

• Texture

Students will do a series of exercises practicing techniques and how to manipulate the medium watercolor.  

A variety of landscape and floral painting techniques will be covered and students will complete original artworks from observation and personal photographs.
